Hi everyone, I'm beyond thrilled to connect with you all behind the lens. Whether you're a long-time client or just joining me on this journey, I'm excited to share my story with you. I'm Mercedes Gutierrez the one behind the camera!
I've had the privilege of turning my passion for photography into a decade-long career, starting at just 14 years old when I received my first camera and began offering free sessions to anyone who would let me. That gift sparked a dream, and I'm grateful to have taken the leap and pursued it, even when I wasn't sure if I fully believed in myself. Fast forward to 2020, Memories by Mercedes photography was born, and I've since dedicated myself to capturing life's precious moments and helping others see the beauty in their own stories, memories and so much more.
As a self-taught photographer, I've mastered my skills through hard work and dedication, and I'm proud to offer sessions that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime.
And if you're still with me, I'd love to share a bit more about myself! I'm a 28-year-old mom to an adventurous 6-year-old who can sometimes tag along by my side, capturing mini sessions and bringing joy to everyone around him - and yes, his sessions are always free for purchase because who doesn't love free memories? As a Jesus-loving woman, I believe in spreading love and kindness wherever I go. When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me jamming to music, taking long drives, fishing, or shopping. By day, I'm also a licensed cosmetologist and owner of a beauty salon in Victoria, Texas - so why not book me for your photo needs and get a little hair TLC on the side? I had taken a step back from this business to open my salon but its established well and IM BACK and ready for all your photo needs! Let's create some unforgettable memories to last a lifetime! Throughout my journey into photography, I've gained knowledge on making it the best experience possible for you. I now also offer videography, yes you read that right!
